ZAMPERLA CARE TEAM INITIATIVES INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO SUPPORT CUSTOMERS DURING COVID-19

BY GABRIELLE

Like many companies, Zamperla, specialists in amusement rides design and manufacturing, has been busy reinventing its way of work and how it interacts with customers during the restrictions set by the coronavirus pandemic.

Zamperla’s Care Team has initiated a new solution to support its customers throughout these difficult times. Through advanced technology, Zamperla has reinvented the way it assembles rides, despite the limitations and restrictions of travel caused by the pandemic.

Zamperla’s ride mechanical supervisor, based in the company’s headquarters in Altavilla, is utilising extended collaboration software. The software enables the direct sharing of video, audio and remote augmented reality interactions, as well as document sharing, to provide clear instructions on how to assemble Zamperla rides.

The advanced, remotely communicated instructions, are designed to help customers assembly rides even during social distancing enforcements.

ZAMPERLA REVEALS PLANS FOR INDOOR AMUSEMENT PARK AT FICO EATALY WORLD

 BY GABRIELLE

Zamperla, a leading Italian designer and manufacturer of theme park rides and attractions, has revealed details about the new indoor amusement park it is building at FICO Eataly World in Bolgona.

The new site is known as Luna Farm, in reference to the traditional name for theme parks in Italian, travelling carnivals, as well as the iconic Luna Park in New York’s Coney Island, which has been operated by Zamperla since 2010.

The 11-million-euro project involves the construction of a 6,500 square meter park, which features 15 rides and attractions, all developed by Zamperla.

These attractions include a panoramic mill wheel, a suspended monorail with chicken gondolas and bull-themed bumper cars, with interactive projections.

A division of Zamperla, Z+, is to debut several interactive reality and augmented experiences at the new amusement park.

Tiziana Primori, CEO of Eataly World, commented on the opening of Luna Farm.

“Luna Farm completes the family experience at FICO. Eataly World is a unique location where you can learn by having fun, and you get to know food from the field to the fork.

“The farm created by Zamperla offers an extraordinary space of games and fantasy,” said Primori.

Luna Farm is due to open before the end of 2019.

ZAMPERLA SHOWCASES INNOVATIVE NEW RIDES AT IAAPA ASIA 2019

Zamperla, Italian manufacturers of family rides, rollercoasters and other amusement park attractions, presented a raft of innovative new rides and projects during a press conference at this year’s IAAPA Asia.

During 2019, Zamperla Group will deliver more than 200 rides across the world, including four new rides, two of which, the Super Air Race and NubulaZ, are to be installed in Luna Park at Coney Island. Zamperla’s new Z-Max attraction is to be constructed in Finland and the Factory Coaster in China.

The Factory Coaster will propel passengers along a 611-metre track in large vehicles that can accommodate up to 16 guests, reaching maximum speeds of 12.5m/s. This exciting new ride is due to open at Wandu Waxi in the second half of 2019.

With loops, banks, dives and weightlessness, the Super Air Race replicates the sensations and experiences of an acrobatic aeroplane flight. The ride combines a 6rpm central rotation motion with a motor-driven arm rotation to create an exciting combination of acceleration.

The family ride NebulaZ features four arms which rotate in rapid intermeshing orbits. Eight gondolas are located at the end of each arm, flying riders over the top of the ride.

The Z-Max is a new tower ride and is the latest ride to be installed at Finland’s Särkänniemi Amusement Park. The ride features a full column rotation, providing passengers with an incredible vision of space, as they reach heights of 68 metres.

Another leading project Zamperla is involved in this year, is the construction of an indoor theme park known as the Family Entertainment Centre (FEC). The site will be built within FICO, the world’s largest agri-food park located in Bologna, Italy.

FEC is aimed at children and families, who will find themselves immersed in a typical Italian-style farmhouse, but which is occupied with a total of 12 rides instead of farming equipment.
