Reed MIDEM, organisers of business events designed to facilitate global connections, have announced they are to launch LeisurUp in 2020, a dedicated event that welcomes the entire leisure industry as a means of building vibrant live experiences for places and spaces.
The two-day event will be taking place on November 17 to 18, 2020, in the new exhibition area next to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. The initial LeisurUp event will be collocated with MAPIC 2020, which is being held on November 18 to 20.
The event will comprise of a conference programme, networking sessions, and a dedicated exhibition space. Around 2,500 attendees are expected to be present at the first LeisurUp conference.
Participants will be from a diverse range of sectors, including leisure operators at active entertainment sites, small amusement parks and family entertainment centres, immersive experience facilities, live events, arts and culture sites, wellness and fitness centres, as well as real estate owners, retail spaces, hotels, cities, transit zones and more.
Francesco Pupillo, director of LeisurUp, commented: “As the digital revolution has caused consumer behaviours to transform, customers are now craving experiences, conviviality, socialisation, education and new discoveries.
