LEGOLAND FLORIDA RESORT UNVEILS NEW EDUCATIONAL ATTRACTION

A new attraction has opened to the public at Legoland Florida Resort, an indoor play area. Known as the Florida Prepaid Schoolhouse, the play area is designed for younger visitors to explore learning and experiment with different careers.

The attraction features a stage, Duplo brick play areas, school-themed play equipment and a touchscreen, where children can play around with letters and numbers and explore future careers.

Guest can also take part in a fun photo-op outside of the schoolhouse, which is located in Duplo Valley. Youngsters can stand between cut-out Duplo figures of nurses, doctors, teachers, biologists, and other professions.

John Rood, chairman of the Florida Prepaid College Board, commented: “Florida Prepaid and Legoland Florida Resort want to encourage Florida families to support their children’s imagination, while saving for their college education.

“When children are building with Duplo and Lego bricks, college can seem very far away. But the earlier families start building a college savings plan, the less stress and debt they have to face later,” Rood added.

The Florida Prepaid Schoolhouse was developed in an alliance between the Florida Prepaid College Savings Plans and the Central Florida Theme Park.

To mark the opening of the new attraction, Florida Prepaid is offering families the chance to win ten ‘college scholarships.’ Families have until November 24, 2019, to enter to win a package that include a two-year Florida College Plan Scholarship and two tickets to Legoland Florida Resort.
