As well as reaching speeds that Busch Gardens describes as making the Pantheon the fastest multi-launch coaster in North America, the steel rollercoaster will feature four launches, five airtime hills and a 95-degree vertical drop.

The track for the highly awaited rollercoaster is 3,328ft. in length and the ride lasts for two minutes.

The Pantheon is due to open at some point in 2020.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg gears up for a screaming Halloween

BY GABRIELLE

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is preparing for an exceptionally frightening Halloween this autumn with the return of Howl-O-Scream, one of the biggest Halloween-themed events on the east coast.

Busch Gardens’ six haunted houses, six nightmarish Terror-tories and hair-raising escape rooms will be accompanied with some terrifying shows.

2019 will be Howl-O-Scream’s 21st season and promises to be more frightening than ever with two new escape rooms and the return of one of the venue’s most popular show, albeit with a new twist.

As Peter Dunklee, vice president of entertainment for Busch Gardens Williamsburg, commented:

“We’re always looking for opportunities to elevate the event’s scare factor. We try to balance the fun and the scares and we’ve accomplished just that with two new escape room experiences, additional startles in our haunted houses and resurrecting a guest favourite show.”

This year’s Howl-O-Scream marks the return of the popular show titled ‘Jack is Back.’ This street-style performance stars Howl-O-Scream’s icon Jack, who made his Howl-O-Scream return last year in The Vault XX.  Jack performs alongside pumpkins and scarecrows in this disco dancing celebration.

Howl-O-Scream will kick off at Busch Gardens Williamsburg on September 14, 2019.

BY GABRIELLE

The popular Irish dance show known as the Celtic Fyre, performed at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, has, for a second time, been hailed as the number one theme park show in the United States.

The show, which features energetic Irish dances accompanied with electrifying music, was announced the winner of USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award 2019 in the ‘Best Amusement Park Entertainment’ category.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg, the 383-acre theme park located in James City County, Virginia, also made it into the top ten of the ‘Best Amusement Park’ category.

Featuring Irish choreography, singing, music, and storytelling, the Celtic Fyre show never fails to pull in the crowds. The show is performed daily during the summer and is held in the Abbey Stone Theatre.

Guests are made to feel like they are park of the Irish culture the show brings to life, as the storyteller invites the audience into his inn to witness authentic Irish entertainment.

Kevin Lembke, park president at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA, shared his excitement about winning the award for the second year.

“Winning this award for a second time is incredible. Celtic Fyre continues to be our most popular show and this award proves it.

“This talented cast and production crew deserve all the accolades for making this a must-see performance,” Lembke added.
